OnBoarding Coordinator - Shoreline JV

Summary:

Working with the Joint venture between Aecon, SNC Lavalin and AECOM, known as Shoreline, the OnBoarding Coordinator will report to the Onboarding Manager and onboarding team to deliver a positive and effective onboarding experience for the FCFR workforce.

Responsibilities:

The OnBoarding Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation, preparing welcome package material and training plans, scheduling onboarding training,  ongoing monitoring and scheduling of requalification trainging and entering maintaining training records via the Learning Management System.  The onboarding coordinator will also be responsible to assess the onboarding experience and its effectiveness to identify and targets for improvements. Key essential functions are:

  • Source, coordinate and schedule the Orientation Day
  • Develop and prepare material for the Orientation Day
  • Prepare Welcome Package
  • Prepare and assign in the Learning Management  System (LMS), the new-hires role-based training plan
  • Prepare Supervisor Checklist & New-Hire Checklist
  • Prepare the new-hires onboarding  roadmap
  • Schedule onboarding required training including both Bruce Power and Shoreline
  • Prepare training material for the onboarding training sessions
  • Monitor and follow-up on the completion of orientation and onboarding training requirements (Bruce Power and Shoreline)
  • Schedule, monitor and follow-up on Bruce Power and Shoreline requalification training completion
  • Assist with Bruce Power Security Clearance administration as required
  • Monitor and maintain records/qualifications in the Learning Management  System
  • Perform department Self-Assessments  to evaluate the experience and effectiveness of the onboarding program & associated training and target areas for improvement  as required

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary school education in a related field
  • Experience in an office environment, preferably in a human resource and or training role
  • Knowledge of office methods, process & procedures, equipment and filing systems
  • Experience with Success Factors Learning Management  System would be an asset
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Problem solving, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work to timelines
