Piping Designer

Responsibilities:

• Take the design from the existing concept through detailed 3D models for construction while adhering to the overall project design basis and schedule.  
• Scheduling and managing the work of a team of Piping Designers and coordination with Piping Engineers located in the Bothell, WA office.
• Support the overall project as directed by the Project Manager.
• Travel as required to other offices.

Requirements:

• Experience with ASME B31.1 piping and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit 3D is required.   
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar municipal projects and possess an understanding of both underground and in-tunnel hot water heating and chilled water piping. 
• Be adept in working with civil engineering on pipe routing aspects such as managing existing utility interferences, road crossing, and bridge crossings. 
• Good understanding of associated construction methods and a solid rapport with construction personnel.
• Must be able to effectively communicate across multiple offices with Designers, Engineers, Schedulers, Project Management, and construction team members in planning and implementing the work.
