The Role

Are you looking for a challenging and exciting career with an innovative and personable organisation? We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help deliver some of Australia’s most important Transport projects in rail and highways.

We are seeking a Principal Consultant, Electrical to join our Engineering, Design and Project Management (EDPM) business.

Based in Brisbane, the position will be responsible for providing electrical rollingstock engineering consulting to clients in the Queensland and Australian Rail industry.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, alongside the ability to effectively manage client requirements and provide technical leadership to Senior and Consultants in electrical engineering and relevant subsystems.

What you bring to the team

  • 15+ years’ experience in rollingstock
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience with traction systems or other electrical sub-systems on rollingstock
  • Hold a professional association with MIEAust or RPEQ
  • Passionate & driven approach to work
  • Able to provide clear written and oral electrical rollingstock systems technical advice to a range of clients
  • Effective problem solving and time management abilities
  • Process driven approach, with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in an integrated team environment
  • Drive to continuously seek innovation and improvement (self, project, strategic)
