AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Procurement Advisor to join our team. This position is based in Toronto, Ontario. The Procurement Advisor is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies and providing management and support for program-related procurement activities.

This role requires subject matter expertise in procurement and effective commercial strategies, as well as the ability to collaborate with Program Leads and the Program Commercial Lead to ensure appropriate procurement support across the program.

Your role within the team:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and provides management and support to the execution of program related procurement activities for capital works.
• Provide subject matter expertise with respect to procurement and supports the implementation of effective commercial strategies.
• Develop and implements procurement related governance and processes required for pre and post contract procurement activities.
•  Compiles and analyzes supplier performance at a program level to identify issues and develop resolution measures. 
• Develop strategies to de-risk the program/project and/or generate cost savings through program-wide supply chain initiatives.
•  Participate in evaluation of, and provides recommendations on, vendor selection and negotiation.
• Collaborate with Program Leads and the Program Commercial Lead to ensure that the appropriate level of procurement support is provided across the program.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in delivering procurement services with at least 5 years experience on large infrastructure programs procuring major capital works contracts, airport project experience a strong asset
• A recognized degree in a related field
•  Familiarity with collaborative and progressive contracting models is considered an asset, for example Progressive Design Build, Design Build, or Construction Management at Risk.
• Demonstrable experience in executing large and complex procurement activities from inception through to contract award.
• Demonstrable experience of supporting / implementing post contract procurement assurance activities, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops
• Related professional designation such as Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC), Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), or Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is considered an asset.
