Job Purpose:

The role holder will act as the overall subject matter expert for professional development (PD) schemes, developing and implementing strategy on professional accreditation for business and support functions. Direct and co-ordinate the operational delivery, by the business, of professional registration with UK technical institutions

Reports to: Head and Learning and Talent Development UK&E

Key Responsibilities

  • Being part of a supportive team that demonstrates Regional client focus in a demanding as well as dynamic and flexible working environment
  • Ensure governance and accreditation of Professional Development schemes
  • Support scheme owners in obtaining reaccreditation of Professional Development schemes
  • Support overall business sponsor in delivering the Professional Development strategy
  • Ensure scheme documentation is in place and support annual reviews with scheme owners
  • Direct the delivery of professional development scheme administration services by the HR Centre, ensuring appropriate auditing is undertaken
  • Direct professional development induction of new graduates/apprentices and ensure company delivers on the commitments made to them
  • Develop and implement mentor training
  • Write Professional development elements of bid submissions / create a bank of bid answers in relation to professional development
  • Professional development SharePoint Site Owner, ensuring content is up to date and relevant
  • Subject matter expert advising regional client base about Professional development schemes including managing mailbox
  • Responsibility for the My Chartership data platform, including ensuring the cyclical workflows are run, and ongoing management undertaken to help make decisions
  • Advise on professional registration requirements relating to Degree Apprenticeships
  • Support wider L&TD team activities as required.

  • Ensure professionally up to date on schemes by attending conferences as necessary i.e. processes not technical elements

Essential

  • An understanding of key professional Institutions the company works with (ICE, IET, IMechE, RICS)

Desirable

  • Experience of managing Sharepoint sites
  • Previous experience working with early careers (graduates, apprentices, support to professional schemes)
  • Experience working with Global Design Centre / HR Centre (Bangalore)

Scale indicators

  • Working from Home (during Covid – 19)
