Project Controls Director

AtkinsRéalis are looking for a Project Controls Director to pe part of the PMC team on a major programme in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor project control procedures, systems and processes to ensure effective management and reporting of project progress, cost and schedule performance.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize risks to the project

• Work closely with project teams to review and assess project progress, budget, and schedule through regular reporting and analysis

• Identify areas of concern or areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to ensure project success

• Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and prepare financial reports

• Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, procedures and applicable regulations

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and vendors

Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

• PMP qualification is a plus

• Minimum 15 years of project management experience in the construction and engineering industry

• Extensive experience managing project budgets, schedules and cost control activities

• Excellent understanding of project controls processes and best practices

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once

• Proficiency in project management software and tools like Primavera P6, MS Project etc.

Skills, Competencies & Requirements:

• Essential experience in high end buildings and infrastructure projects.

• Site based experience required

• Previous experience in Tier 1 Contractor/PMC and project delivery on significant schemes.

• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English (Arabic preferred).

• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

• Exceptional project management skills highlighting organization, time management, and flexibility.

• Proven competence in overseeing multiple packages of work simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate intricate design challenges and propose innovative solutions.

• Applied financial acumen and attention to best value for investment within agreed budgets, ensuring cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.

• Experience working with diverse and cross-functional team disciplines, fostering effective collaboration and integration of various stakeholders.

• Results-driven mindset, consistently achieving project goals and driving success in design delivery.

• Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
