We are seeking a Project Engineer Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Richland, WA office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Meets regularly with assigned Subrecipient project teams to understand and report on project status, including any issues or challenges with project execution.
Performs periodic independent assessment of Subrecipient projects to determine project health.
Receives and reviews required Subrecipient submittals for conformance to PNWH2 Hub requirements and the terms of the Subrecipient Agreement. Coordinates required reviews of Subrecipient submittals by other PMO Team members.
Tracks and manages to completion data requests (e.g., RFIs) between the Subrecipients and the PMO.
Coordinates, tracks and manages to completion submission of Subrecipient technical design and operations; cost, financial and economic; and community benefits data to the PMO and OCED as required by the PNWH2 Data Management Plan
Ensures relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes as specified in PNWH2 requirements are incorporated into Subrecipient designs and program documentation.
Tracks subrecipient progress towards obtaining required permits and environmental reviews necessary to proceed to construction.
Works with Subrecipients and PMO staff to assemble and review packages of data for phased gate reviews to qualify projects for progression to the next funding and execution phase (Go/No-Go reviews).
Tracks and manages to completion any punch list items resulting from OCED conditional approval to proceed to the next phase.
During construction, ensures critical project features from design media reviewed during the Go/No-Go reviews are incorporated into the built project. This includes performing periodic field inspections during project execution.
Interfaces with Subrecipients to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that safety is an integral element embodied in equipment design and specification.
Interfaces with Subrecipients to ensure any required inspections, tests, and other quality control measures are implemented during design, construction, and commissioning.
Prepares and/or reviews PMO-developed submittals to PHWHA and OCED, including plans, procedures, and reports.
Relies on experience and judgment.
Works under limited supervision.
Significant creativity and latitude is expected.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree required in engineering, construction management, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in design and construction of chemical processing, handling storage or transportation facilities.
Buyer’s Technical Representative or Owner’s Engineer for EPC-type contracts desired.
Design and/or Construction of industrial gas processing and liquefaction facilities desired.
Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to foster and achieve goal alignment among project participants with differing interests.
Knowledge of industry codes and regulations pertaining to industrial gas processing facilities desired.
Professional Engineering License desirable.
PMP certification desirable.
Must be a U.S citizen in order to be considered.

Expected compensation range is between $77,000 to $129,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
