AtkinsRealis are currently looking for experienced Quantity Surveyor (Post Contract) to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and various locations within Qatar for a site-based role. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in Qatar.

Qualifications / Typical experience

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Engineering

  • Has at least 3 years Middle East experience

  • Overall minimum 7 years experience

  • Works within a wider delivery team / manages his own project(s)

  • Has successfully contributed to the delivery of pre and post contract services on a limited number of projects

  • Can demonstrate pre and post contract experience on several asset types such as Residential, Hospitality & Leisure, Retail, Infrastructure

  • MRICS preferred but not essential

Technical knowledge

  • Has a good understanding of most aspects of construction

  • Has a good understanding of local contracts (FIDIC) and practices

  • Knowledge of CostX or similar estimating software

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD

Employment practice

Pre-contract

  • Has worked on procurement routes such as Traditional, Design & Build, Management Contracting, Construction Management and Cost Plus.

  • Can advise on benchmarking and market trends

  • Can assist in providing data for monthly cost reports to be approved by Managers

Post-contract

  • Can undertake interim payments to be approved by Managers

  • Can write monthly cost reports to be approved by Managers

  • Can evaluate and negotiate basic variations with contractors

  • Can make assessments for materials on site

  • Can make payment recommendations for professional services for approval by Managers

  • Can write non-contractual emails and letters for approval by Managers

  • Can assist in producing project final account to be approved by Managers
