Location – Mississauga, ON

The Resource Manager is a member of the Engineering Excellence team, responsible for collaborating with Engineering Directors and Managers to facilitate talent acquisition, professional development of staff, skills competency management, and succession planning. 

Your role within the team:

  • Collaborating with all stakeholders in the recruitment process.
  • Chairing Hiring Committee Meetings.
  • Supporting Engineering Directors and Managers in the use of the people forecasting leveling tool.
  • Managing recruitment and staffing assignment performance metrics and trending data.
  • Facilitating the creation and management of a skills competency database.
  • Facilitating competency gap analyses and supporting the professional development of staff.
  • Facilitating succession planning reviews.
  • Supporting Engineering leaders in talent management, including the facilitation of promotion cases.
  • Interfacing with stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Delivery, Human Resources, and Recruiters.

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary education – University degree or College Diploma in engineering, human resources, business or equivalent field of study.
  • Five (5) years’ experience (minimum) working in a professional business environment.
  • Business acumen, with experience in Engineering or Human Resources.
  • Tech savvy in enterprise and commercial applications.
  • Proven track record of performance in a dynamic, project delivery environment is an asset.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Security Clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada is a condition of employment.
