Overview

SNC Lavalin has been pushing the boundaries of Digital Engineering and implementing innovative solutions in the delivery of our work across our broad industry portfolio. Due to the increased volume of work we are looking to strengthen our digital offering, both in the development of our capabilities and in providing support and training to our team to support this transition.

We are looking for talented specialists to join our Canadian team who is prepared to ask the question “Is there a better way to do this?” and be proactive in improving workflows and automating tasks.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Support our innovation and design transformation teams in developing our use and deployment on Revit within our digital engineering ecosystem.
  • Develop optimization solutions to improve our workflows and improve project delivery.
  • Support the implementation of Revit within a BIM360 or Project Wise deployment.
  • Support the interconnection of Revit with other tools, such as simulation or Geospatial platforms.
  • Support our 3D visualization teams.
  • Facilitate and assist in model design from family and template creation.
  • Mentoring and training SNC Lavalin’s engineers and technicians.
  • Develop BIM Tool Procedures and Workflows.
  • Design coordination – architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical.
  • Construction sequencing/phasing.
  • Construction documentation.
  • Clash detection.
  • Provide implementation of a Working Template, Standard Details, General Notes, Title blocks, etc.
  • Perform Design coordination for architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical.

What will you contribute?

  • Technical College Diploma in Structural / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in engineering/technical services.
  • Working knowledge in preparation of construction documentation in Revit.
  • Previous experience in AutoCAD, Revit.
  • Project set-up experience including model management (repartition – integration), customization of symbology, report running and customization, procedure writing and workshare co-ordination.
  • Working knowledge in preparation of construction documentation in Revit.
  • Excellent computer, design and communication skills.
  • Strong combination of technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Previous experience on building projects is preferred.
