Atkins Nuclear is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a S&IH Professional in Oak Ridge, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide daily Safety and Industrial Hygiene (S&IH) professional level support to Y-12 organizations including Production, Maintenance, Construction and/or Balance of Plant mission activities, as assigned. Activities may include S&IH hazards identification and development of controls, accident/incident investigation and technical support related to interpretation of laws, codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and policies/procedures. Direct support activities may additionally include field oversight of work activities, facility oversight inspections and walk downs, working with management and supervision to implement appropriate S&IH plans, activities and requirements, and assistance in developing work activity plans. Other related duties may be expected at the direction of Safety and Industrial Hygiene Department management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

BA/BS degree with at least 5 years of direct Safety and Industrial Hygiene experience, or an MA /MS with 4 years of experience.
Candidates holding a DOE security level “Q” or “L” clearance are preferred
