AtkinsRéalis are looking for a Senior CAD Drafter for a large low rise residential project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Prior experience in UAE (preferably Abu Dhabi) is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed CAD drawings for low-rise building projects, including architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop and refine design concepts.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior drafters and other team members.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions.

Key skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in CAD drafting, with a focus on low-rise residential buildings.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
  • Certification in CAD drafting or related field is a plus.
