Our Minneapolis team is growing! Faithful+Gould seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a

Senior Construction Manager – Food & Beverage/Agribusiness. 

This position is based out of our Minneapolis, MN office but can sit in any Faithful+Gould office in the United States or work remotely.

Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

Implements the F+G service deliverables and manages complex construction projects, including supervising the activities of site teams including F+G construction management staff, communicating directly with clients, coordinating staff and resources, assisting with the preparation of client monthly invoices, and working with senior construction management staff to close-out project documentation and client accounts.

-Manages complex construction projects and teams.

-Sets up internal and external project management manuals/files.

-Assigns responsibilities to construction managers and site teams.

-Chairs complex construction project meetings.

-Leads the project’s pre-construction effort.

-Proposes bidding and contract strategies for clients.

-Reviews contractor construction schedules and assists with project delivery strategies.

-Assists with value engineering and risk management initiatives.

-Communicates on a regular basis with clients to assure satisfaction with services provided.

-Manages the project close-out processes.

-Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Requirements

 

-Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field, plus seven years relevant experience.

-Must have food & beverage and/or agribusiness experience.

-Position is based in Minneapolis, however projects are typically 4-14 months in duration and are located throughout the United States.

-Construction Management experience with large clients is preferred

 

-Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

-Must have strong construction estimating skills, strong knowledge of construction and procurement strategies, and proficiency with project scheduling software.

-Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management software (often provided by the client).

-Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

-30 hour training in OSHA safety requirements, CMAA/PMI.

 

-The ability to travel up to 100% of the time is required for this position.
