Senior Contracts Manager- Airport Construction
Our Los Angeles Team is growing! The successful candidate will have proven construction contract administrator experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar design and construction projects. This position will be assisting with pre-bid/proposal meetings, monitor all aspects of contract compliance, assist with development, negotiations and execution of Task Orders, cGMP, and change orders. Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance and conduct closeout procedures. This position will be located at our client site at Los Angeles International Airport. Daily commute is required. This is an immediate full-time internal Faithful+Gould position with robust benefits.

Responsibilities
• Work in collaboration with Project Management team to ensure project is delivered in compliance
with all contractual terms and conditions, as well as LAWA, City, State and Federal requirements
• May provide training, guidance and review to lower level Contract Administrators to ensure
compliance with standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist with planning of procurements and setting pre-award schedules for contracts including
Board actions
• Assist in coordination of Pre-Bid/Proposal meetings to present the Project and RFB/RFP to potential
bidder/Proposers
• Draft Board Reports, correspondence and other documents related to project delivery
• Prepare required reports and correspondence
• Attend various meetings, including pre-bid proposal and post-bid proposal debriefings
• Monitor all aspects of contract compliance
• Assist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and LAWA
• Assist with Task Order and cGMP preparation
• Assist with change order development and negotiations
• Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance
• Conduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the
direction of personnel


Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business related field, as well as training in procurement,contract, construction, and commercial law is required
• 10 years of experience administering commercial/governmental contracts ($500K or higher)
with skills in contract management, change management, risk mitigation and negotiation skills
• Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Construction Manager at Risk,
Design-Build, or Public-Private Partnership is required
• Comfortable operating in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment
• Produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer service attitude
• Ten years’ experience working in a construction management environment
• Must be a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to
assume additional responsibilities
• Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of
responsibility and growth in previous positions
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized
• Ability to advise the PM on significant contract matters
• Monitoring and adhering to public policies
• Ability to achieve goals and objectives for reporting the project key performance indicators
• Ensure contract compliance with the D/B Developer along with outside regulatory agencies
• Ensures adequate funding to meet project commitments
• Maintains and updates staffing plans, resource needs, and contingencies to support the projects
• Exercises full breadth of authority through contract information for partnering, administration, and
resolution of disputes/claims
• Recommends claim avoidance to the Project Manager
• Knowledge of public procurement/contract law – solid experience of document audits, drafting
letters and negotiations for high value complex disputes
• Maintain internal legal files for the client in the project Management Database-Prolog
• Experience with legal and business teams
• Ability to implement goals and major priorities, facilitate and monitor progress, and direct the
development of strategies and resolutions on major contract issues
• Knowledge of managing and supporting implementation of inclusivity goals and objectives
