Senior FLS Engineer

AtkinsRealis are currently looking for a Senior Fire & Life Safety Engineer (FLS) in Dammam, KSA who can:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical design reviews of the fire systems to local and international standards
  • Overseeing the technical aspects of a project, responsible for ensuring that work on site is completed as per design intent
  • Make quality on-site decisions and solutions on design matters to expedite works on site.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met
  • Carryout high quality discipline design reviews from the contractor
  • Conduct required checks and reviews of own teams
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
  • Risk assessment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A degree qualification in Engineering or related fields.
  • 15 years or more of post graduate experience
  • Membership of a professional institution or working towards professional membership
  • Be a registered engineer with the local municipality, or working towards this
  • Must have worked on similar mixed-use developments
  • Capable of working independently and remotely from my core team.
  • Able to build excellent client relations through my communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in well known international firms with focus on Fire and Life Safety.
  • Excellent Knowledge and Experience with the Saudi Building Code, inclusive but not limited to 201 and 801

Good knowledge of applicable codes and other standards (e.g. NFPA), and any other commonly used practices

  • Annual flight allowance to point of origin
