We have the breadth and depth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time critical infrastructure projects. In the infrastructure sector we have a rapidly expanding workload and an exciting portfolio of roads, rail, water and building development projects. As such we are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take a leading role in our strong geotechnical team.

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for experienced a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in our rapidly expanding team in Bangalore GDC. An ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience by working with a multidiscipline team of Geotechnical Engineers providing a comprehensive design service to our clients.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:


The successful applicant will be a senior geotechnical engineer with a proven technical and project management track record.

  • A strong academic background with degree in Civil engineering and Master Degree or PhD in a relevant subject.

  • Ability to lead small project teams.

  • With minimum 8-10 years of relevant design experience.

  • Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients

  • Good commercial track record in negotiating and running jobs successfully

  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work

  • A flair for innovation

  • A willingness to travel on short term assignments both within India and overseas

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Masters Degree or PhD in a relevant subject with appropriate and sufficient experience in the field of geotechnical engineering either with civil consultancy or as a designer for a ground engineering contractor.

Candidates will be asked to show how their experience demonstrates ability to:

  • Analytical skills to assess complex problems and deliver appropriate solutions.

  • Design of modular and embedded retaining walls, slope stability analysis & pile group analysis.

  • Conversant with geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS (2D&3D) SLOPE/W, WALLAP, VDISP & REPUTE.

  • Experience of soil structure interaction work and numerical analysis would be an advantage.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.

  • Willingness to travel to overseas.

  • Excellent written and spoken English within a business environment.

  • Good interpersonal and Communication Skills.
