Job Title: Site Senior Interior Designer

Location: UAE

Experience: Minimum 12 years

Background: Architectural Degree

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Site Senior Interior Designer with a background in architecture to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in interior design, with a focus on overseeing site operations, material submittal review, shop drawing review, and adherence to regulations and handover procedures. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interior Design Expertise: Utilize your advanced knowledge and skills in interior design to conceptualize and develop innovative design solutions that meet client requirements and project objectives.
  • Site Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring that design intent is implemented accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Material Submittal Review: Conduct thorough reviews of material submittals to verify compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide feedback and recommendations as needed.
  • Shop Drawing Review: Review shop drawings and other technical documents to ensure alignment with design intent, code requirements, and industry best practices. Communicate effectively with the design team and contractors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations, codes, and standards applicable to interior design and construction in the UAE. Ensure that all design and construction activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handover Procedure: Manage the handover process, including final inspections, documentation, and client acceptance. Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations before handover.
  • Site Attendance: Maintain a regular presence on-site to oversee construction activities, address any design-related issues or concerns, and provide guidance to the project team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on site operations and project management.
  • Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
