AtkinsRéalis NEOM business within the Middle East have an opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to support our NEOM market operations team. This is a permanent opportunity and may be based in NEOM, KSA, Riyadh, KSA or Dubai, UAE. 

Reporting to the Operations and Commercial Director, you will assume responsibility for selected accounts and projects within the NEOM market, ensuring that revenue and margin performance meet or exceed targets, whilst enhancing our reputation with clients and ensuring both project quality and effective communication at project level.

In this role you will need to effectively balance the demands of the short- and long-term performance of the business and successfully communicate these issues to the project teams delivering within the market(s) and the wider business providing resource to the projects.

Additionally, you will support the win work activities in the NEOM region by supporting the bid teams on their approach to opportunities, including but not limited to; risk, commercial strategy, finances, technical proposals and resourcing.

A key part of the role will be to oversee the logistics within the NEOM region working with the regional facilities team to manage accommodation and transportation for personnel located in NEOM.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the NEOM market team and wider Operations function, you will:

  • Drive best practice and a professional leading-edge approach to the application of Health and Safety.
  • Lead, plan and maximise short term external and internal revenue performance for selected accounts and projects.
  • Work with Project Directors and Project Managers to deliver projects profitably, on time and within budget, while exceeding client quality expectations.
  • Support in delivery of the market strategy and execution of the annual business plan.
  • Contribute to the market budget for selected accounts and participate in regular performance reviews at market level.
  • Support the Operations and Commercial Director in identification and management of portfolio risks.
  • Assure full compliance with governance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the performance of project teams for selected projects, connecting with the the wider business and other functions to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with the wider business including GTC and communicate regularly about the resource needs of the market.
  • Work with other stakeholders on the implementation of strategic initiatives that develop our people.
  • Conduct routine project reviews for selected complex and/or large projects and programmes in your areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure frameworks management plans are implemented and framework sales are maximised.
  • In alignment with the practices, contribute to and support in the delivery of the GTC plan for the market.
  • Oversee saudisation targets and local content requirements.
  • Manage, with finance, our tax risk of creating a perminanet establishment as we deliver projects from multiple regions. 

Requirements:

  • Experience of leading high performing teams and ability to build trust, influence and motivate others.
  • Demonstrable experience of financial and commercial management including negotiating.
  • Able to collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Contractual and commercial knowledge.
  • A well-rounded leadership and management background with demonstrable. management of project portfolio experience
  • Strong internal and external client skills.
