Senior / Principal Piping Engineer

If you want to lead teams to deliver tasks for multiple work streams, and are confident in your ability to deliver to time, quality and cost then this could be the role for you.

Because of major new contracts and a continual expansion in our current workload we are looking for experienced engineers to deliver and lead piping design projects.

Working within our Energy business in Bristol, you will work as part of our Design and Analysis team.

You will have a track record of practical knowledge, leadership skills, effective reporting and experience working in a safety critical (regulated) environment.

The primary focus of your work will be to lead small to medium sized multidisciplinary teams (which may be based at client offices) and supervision and control of all aspect of the piping engineering and layout activities.

You will initiate, lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously and have a level of commercial awareness.

You’ll be familiar working with design codes such as: ASME III, PD5500, ASME 31.1, ASME 31.3, EN 13480 as well as specification of components and support design.

You will also have experience across:
• Piping design
• Piping engineering (Technical specification, requisition, pipe stress, pipe support)
• Piping fabrication, installation, testing.
• Good understanding of piping design codes (US and European)
• Installation support.

In addition, you will be qualified to degree level or higher in a relevant engineering, scientific or technical discipline. You will also have Chartered status with a relevant engineering institute or other body, or evidence that submission of an application to achieve chartered status is imminent.
