Atkins has been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction management, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture and design, and program management services to the Federal Government, public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years.


Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta, GA Contracts and Subcontracts Group as a Senior Procurement Administrator.

 


Major Function/Role:


Provide subcontractors/vendor support and administration to Project Managers, including the development of RFP’s, RFQ’s, evaluation of bids, negotiations, review terms and conditions/subcontracts and final awards. Process purchasing requests for computers, peripheral equipment, software, servers, supplies and facilities related services, goods and materials. Participate in the evaluation of any Purchasing system initiative, including automation and tracking of subcontractors activities. Assist Manager of Procurement in writing and documenting policies and procedures on Procurement and RFP processes.

 


Job Duties:


· Business experience in working with commercial contracts, including administering subcontractors’ agreements.
 
· A basic understanding of IT equipment and related items is required.
 
· Business experience in purchasing and procurement process is critical to effectively function in this position and allow dealing with internal and external customers in a professional manner while adapting to a changing environment.




Education and Experience:


Bachelors’ degree with five years of business experience in Information Systems and/or contract and procurement administration or an Associate Degree with 10 years of experience in Information Systems and/or contract and procurement administration.

 


Special Skills:


Proficiency in Microsoft software products, including computer literacy. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. This person must be able to interact in a professional manner with internal customers as well as external customers. Must be proficient in math.

 


Professional Registrations:


While it is not an absolute requirement, it will be a positive to be a member of professional Procurement or Purchasing organization or related organizations.
