We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Global Minerals & Metals (M&M) team and to support our growth to align with the demand to supply responsibly sourced critical minerals. The Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams conducting project studies through detailed design to construction/commissioning. 

This opportunity will be to support the growth of our M&M business located in in several locations in Canada.

Your role within the team:

• Prepare proposals for studies and plant engineering mandates and execute these mandates when awarded.
• Develop and implement execution strategies.
• Manage studies and plant engineering mandates in accordance with the project scope and schedule.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain project schedules to ensure cost, quality and schedule objectives are met.
• Manage and control project budgets.
• Prepare project forecasts.
• Identify scope changes and request change orders in advance of performing work.
• Using established project management tools, measure monthly the progress of projects to ensure that the budgets and schedules are being met, and if necessary, take corrective action.
• Ensure that the reviews of documentation are carried out in accordance with the Project Instructions.
• Prepare project status reports.
• Ensure that interdisciplinary coordination is carried out in accordance with the Project Instructions.
• Prepare engineering and construction work packages as required to support the execution of the project.
• Initiate a prompt identification and correction for any engineering issues.
• Oversee and manage the procurement requisition process, review bids and tendering documents to ensure conformance with the project scope and technical specifications.
• Develop, maintain and coordinate all interfaces with client operations groups.
• Ensures that suitable and sufficient staffing is available to meet the performance objectives of the project.
• Support the identification and prequalification of subcontractors.
• Clearly communicate the engineering scope, including the technology and the design information, to team members to meet project requirements.
• Review drawings and develop scopes of work.
• Management of subcontractors including change management.
• Establish and maintain a climate favorable to the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of the project engineering work.

The ideal candidate: 

• Bachelor of Science degree Engineering desired.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for registration desired.
• Minimum 10 years of experience preferably in the mining industry.
• Previous EPC/EPCM experience preferred.
• Site experience and/or experience working in an operations role in a mining process plant is an asset.
• Working knowledge of cost, planning and control methods.
• Proficiency in a variety of standard project management methods and techniques.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented with strong client focus and interpersonal skills.

Nous recherchons un(e) Gestionnaire de Projet pour rejoindre notre équipe mondiale Mines et Métaux (M&M) et soutenir notre croissance afin de répondre à la demande de fourniture de minéraux critiques provenant de sources responsables. Le(la) Gestionnaire de Projet supervisera des équipes multidisciplinaires menant des études de projet, de la conception détaillée à la construction/mise en service. Cette opportunité vise à soutenir la croissance de notre activité M&M située dans plusieurs endroits au Canada.

Votre rôle au sein de l'équipe

• Préparer des propositions pour des études et des mandats d'ingénierie d'usine et exécuter ces mandats lorsqu'ils sont attribués.
• Développer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies d'exécution.
• Gérer des études et des mandats d'ingénierie d'usine conformément à la portée et au calendrier du projet.
• Développer, coordonner et maintenir les calendriers de projet pour garantir que les objectifs de coût, de qualité et de calendrier sont atteints.
• Gérer et contrôler les budgets de projet.
• Préparer des prévisions de projet.
• Identifier les changements de portée et demander des ordres de modification avant d'effectuer le travail.
• Utiliser des outils de gestion de projet établis pour mesurer mensuellement l'avancement des projets afin de garantir que les budgets et les calendriers sont respectés, et si nécessaire, prendre des mesures correctives.
• Assurer que les revues de documentation sont effectuées conformément aux Instructions du Projet.
• Préparer des rapports d'état de projet.
• Assurer la coordination interdisciplinaire conformément aux Instructions du Projet.
• Préparer des packages de travail d'ingénierie et de construction nécessaires pour soutenir l'exécution du projet.
• Identifier et corriger rapidement tout problème d'ingénierie.
• Superviser et gérer le processus de demande d'achat, examiner les offres et les documents d'appel d'offres pour garantir la conformité avec la portée et les spécifications techniques du projet.
• Développer, maintenir et coordonner toutes les interfaces avec les groupes opérationnels du client.
• Assurer que le personnel qualifié est disponible pour répondre aux objectifs de performance du projet.
• Soutenir l'identification et la préqualification des sous-traitants.
• Communiquer clairement la portée de l'ingénierie, y compris la technologie et les informations de conception, aux membres de l'équipe pour répondre aux exigences du projet.
• Revoir les dessins et développer des portées de travail.
• Gérer les sous-traitants, y compris la gestion des changements.
• Établir et maintenir un climat favorable à l'application de pratiques éthiques et professionnelles dans l'exécution des travaux d'ingénierie du projet.

Le(la) candidat(e) idéal(e)

• Diplôme: Bachelor en Sciences en ingénierie souhaité.
• Inscription: Ingénieur(e) professionnel(le) (P.Eng.) ou éligible à l'inscription.
• Expérience: Minimum 10 ans d'expérience, de préférence dans l'industrie minière.
• Expérience en EPC/EPCM: Préférée.
• Expérience sur site: Expérience sur site et/ou dans un rôle opérationnel dans une usine de traitement minier est un atout.
• Compétences en gestion de projet: Connaissance pratique des méthodes de coût, de planification et de contrôle. Maîtrise de diverses méthodes et techniques de gestion de projet standard.
• Qualités personnelles: Autonomie, orientation vers les objectifs avec un fort focus client et des compétences interpersonnelles.
