SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Houston, TX Public & Private Group as a Senior Project Manager-Water/Wastewater. The selected candidate will have experience and demonstrated success as a Seller/Doer in working with public and private sector water and wastewater clients within the greater Houston, TX area.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
  • This is a great opportunity to lead and manage complex and unconventional technology or delivery systems for a variety of projects which may be comprised of water distribution and sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities for water and wastewater clients in the greater Houston area.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and technical guidance to senior project managers and project managers within assigned area of responsibility to ensure that quality management and technical services are provided to clients and that operating performance targets are met. Mentors senior project managers and project managers associated with sophisticated and unconventional projects. Projects of this magnitude generally involve net revenues totaling between $2.5 million to $5 million annually and require specialized expertise. The selected candidate will have experience and demonstrated success in working with public and private sector clients with a water infrastructure engineering focus.

JOB DUTIES
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. 




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice. Graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus. This level may be achieved with ten years of experience in project production and technical professional activities, four of these working as a project manager.

SPECIAL SKILLS 
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting business development activities and defining new markets and services, strong existing client relationships within the Houston, TX area is preferred.
  • The candidate considered for this position must have a background in environmental/civil engineering, more specifically within water infrastructure engineering.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills, public speaking and persuasive ability; very strong financial management, team management, and leadership skills; ability to manage and coordinate efforts of various projects to produce budgeted profits and overall results.
  • Personal computer proficiency is required.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS
  • PE License is required.

Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to work under the pressure of multiple projects. Travel to project sites and company/client offices throughout the country may be required.
