Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Winchester, VA Federal Group as a Senior Technical Coordinator.  


 

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:


 

To support the Deputy PM develop and maintain cadre and operational programs that enable contract to successfully respond to any disaster.  Work with internal and external customers to develop programs that ensure contract maintains contract operational compliance.


 


 

DUTIES:


 

  • Support all program areas in coordination of operational response staffing needs
  • Prepare staffing orders for DPM and PM
  • Identify and track risk in staffing orders
  • Develop and track standard operations and disaster specific staffing goals
  • Conduct drills according to contract protocols to facilitate overall contract level operational coordination
  • Actively attend and participate with contract team to support disaster response planning process
  • Actively participate with leadership team to support deployment of staff during disasters


 


 



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


 


 

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience (such as military) can be substituted. Candidate must have 8-12 years experience with Disaster Response and Recovery as well as Operational Planning and Resource Coordination. Job is a response oriented position that can require extensive travel and/or off hours support. Job will require Federal Badging.


 


 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:


 


 

  • Be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform physical labor, occasionally strenuous
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience/interest in developing project management skills
  • Willingness /enthusiasm to receive constructive feedback from your manager and peers
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
  • High regard for safety
