Based in Perth, this position will be key in supporting our Technical Safety department deliver engineering solutions to our esteemed Oil and Gas clients.  

You will play a key role in supporting projects & clients with Safety Engineering including:

  • Support Formal Safety Assessments (FSAs) for example Dropped Object Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessments
  • Support HAZID and HAZOP workshops
  • Validation and verification scopes of work
  • Safety Case development

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree (preferably Honours or equivalent)
  • Engineering Safety Professional with 1-5 years of experience, preferably in Energy
  • High level of report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience in performing risk analysis and risk management studies such as (QRA, FEA, FSAs)
  • Developing an understanding of safety case requirements
  • Safety Study Workshops scribe experience (HAZID & ALARP)
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers
  • General understanding of clients’ operations and integrity interfaces and business risk drivers
  • Strong Excel capability to utilize inhouse calculation sheets
  • Preferable experience in the use of consequence modelling and safety related software such as PHAST, CIRRUS, FRED, FLACS, CANARY, STAR CCM and Bowtie XP
  • Preferable working towards Chartered Engineering status (or equivalency)
