TransitNEXT is a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin. As the sole proponent in the TransitNEXT team, SNC-Lavalin is awarded the design, build, finance and maintenance of the new extension, and will also assume responsibility for the long-term maintenance of the existing Trillium Line.

Join TransitNEXT and become part of The Trillium Line Extension project, expanding and enhancing transit services in Ottawa.

We are looking for a qualified Testing & Commissioning Administrator to work as a part of the Trillium Project team.  Reporting to the T&C Manager, the incumbent will support the overall administration of Testing and Commissioning activities.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Coordinate T&C Meetings (including T&C Working Group with City)

    • Attend and take minutes.

    • Type and distribute minutes for review

    • Create meeting invite and agenda for next meeting.

  • Coordinate Test Documentation

    • Coordinate internal review cycle of each document.

    • Consolidate review comments into one document & return.

    • Ensure comments are incorporated.

  • Coordinate T&C Monthly report

    • Create the T&C monthly report.

    • Collect updates from T&C team; vet, review and incorporate into report.

    • Run reports and macros from T&C tools and incorporate into report.

  • Deliver and share T&C monthly report with internal and external stakeholders
    Coordinate T&C Deliverables to City

    • Update enclosure forms for each City deliverable.

    • Submit docs & enclosure forms to internal document control.

    • Coordinate City review cycle of each deliverable.

  • Support the T&C team in its processes and daily work

    • Find areas for improvement; get approval for and implement improvements

What will you contribute?

  • Postsecondary education in an Engineering Discipline

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering work environment.

  • Familiar with engineering practices.

  • Proficient with the use of Excel to manage data and create statistical trends/data.

  • Must be organized and skilled at organizing others.

  • Must be capable of reviewing technical documentation for style, formatting, and grammar.

  • Must be able to deal with competing priorities and manage their time appropriately.

  • Experience in process improvement considered an asset.

  • Strong work ethic

  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
