The Need:

A team is incomplete without a knowledgeable and experienced leader. The role under discussion is exactly that – we require an operationally skilled team leader to mobilize our already identified team and start executing quick wins on existing projects. These quick wins will form the foundation for the growth of the division beyond our existing clients and projects. The custom made role offers an opportunity to become entrenched within SNC-L SA, building a division which has the potential to become a powerful growth element within Shutdowns and the business as a whole

Education & Skills:

  • Must be Computer literate
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience

  • Client centric with the ability to continuously build and improve relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have strong proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.
  • Must have a strong drive for excellence and delivery and be very comfortable with change

Responsibilities:

  • Laying the governance foundation – develop the SNC-L SA Torquing policy, procedures, torque value charts, quality documentation and packs
  • Leading the Torquing team to execute quick wins – be the technical foundation as well as the direction of the team
  • Take responsibility for the execution of each job and its margin. This element will involve travelling to and potentially between project sites across the country
  • Guiding the functions responsible for compiling a commercially viable bid and execution plan – proposals and estimations, planning, commercial, QA/QC, procurement, materials etc. – as well as managing the Torquing team’s vehicles, materials and equipment from its central stores
  • Assessing each team member’s skills, assigning them tasks in line with their capabilities and growth plan and developing the team into a truly professional, skilled and certified group
  • Working with BD to build an exciting narrative around our new offering
  • Building a pipeline based on maintenance frequencies

Location: Sasolburg (will need to travel)

Duration: Permanent
