Atkins has been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management services to public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years.

Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join us in Jacksonville, FL as a Transportation Engineer Intern supporting the Engineering team.


Job Duties:

• Under supervision, performs a variety of basic technical tasks to assist the roadway design and transportation planning groups in the Jacksonville, Florida office.
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
• Assist project manager and senior engineers with plans production, roadway design calculations, quantity take-offs, comment revisions, as well as various other tasks associated with preparing final plans and specs.


Education and Experience:

High school plus two years of specialized training such as is obtained in vocational or technical school, or completion of an Associate's degree program in a related technical field, or completion of the first two years in a four-year college or university technical program. No experience is required with a related Associate's degree or its equivalent; two years of related experience is required without such formal training.

E.I. or EIT is a plus.
