Atkins Infrastructure division have vacancies for an Urban Design Masterplanner in both our London and Manchester offices.

The opportunities would particularly suit Urban Designers / Masterplanners who have good design and graphic representation skills and who have preferably had some previous UK residential experience.
As Urban Designer / Masterplanner you will be responsible for activities including:
- Working as part of a team supporting the delivery of a diverse range of Uk and international urban design and master planning projects;
- Supporting high quality design and technical activities and producing strong graphic outputs;
- Playing an active part in our ambitious and creative design studio that includes architects, masterplannners and landscape architects, and working through projects with our broader Atkins multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in urban design or comparable qualification, with a preferable first degree in the design field such as in architecture or landscape architecture;
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken;
- Excellent graphic design skills with a minimum fluency in AUTOCAD, Adobe Creative Suite;
- Use of GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), hand sketching, 3D modelling (Sketch Up, Rhino, etc..) a distinct advantage;
- When circumstances permit, be available to travel across the UK when required. The ability to work away from home in the UK or internationally would be of benefit.
