Utility Coordinator Mapping Team

The purpose of this role is to complete Utility Search Maps using AutoCAD/GIS and to to quality check Utility Search Map work completed by others.

Responsibilities
  • Produce drawings of Utility Search Report responses using AutoCAD/GIS
  • Quality check Utility Search Map work to an industry standard
  • Update Utility Search Maps with responses received after order delivery and issue to the client
  • Ensure all new orders are processed in accordance with business processes and the KPI/SLA Framework 
  • Assign and monitor in-coming and out-going workload, and inform the Service Delivery Leads/Team Leader of any issues
  • Produce and provide quotes to clients in a timely manner
  • Obtain maps from various GIS systems
  • Production of adhoc maps utilising GIS and AutoCAD.
  • Produce new connection and diversion maps for the Utility Consultancy Team
  • Build and maintain relationships with statutory undertakers, ensuring information is kept up to date
  • Be a competent user of the various systems / databases
  • Assist Team Leader/Service Delivery Lead with staff training.
  • Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues
  • General administration, eg: filing, faxing, scanning and data input
  • Carry out additional ad hoc activities as required by Team Leader/Service Delivery Lead



Requirements

Essential
  • Educated to GCSE “O” level standard or similar
  • Working knowledge of/experience in GIS/AutoCAD 
  • Computer literate- previous use of Microsoft packages or similar
  • Conscientious, attention to detail, customer focused, able to prioritise workload, good verbal and written communicator 
  • Enthusiastic, able to adopt a flexible approach to varying workload.
  • Ability to identify, analyse, prioritise and resolve problems
  • Experience in a NRSWA/Utility company environment - Desirable
  • Full clean driving licence – Desirable
  • Able to work as a member of a team as well as individually
  • Attention to detail and work with minimal supervision
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to show initiative/forward thinking and be proactive
  • Diplomatic nature and ability to feedback, on work quality, to others in a constructive manner
  • Comfortable with assigning and monitoring workloads of others

Special Requirements
  • Overtime may be required during bids/busy periods
  • Rota for 9.30am to 5.30pm shift
  • Flexibility to assist other teams 
  • BS clearance will need to be obtained
