Our Networks & Drainage Engineering team is one of the largest in the UK. We are currently seeking a Wastewater/Urban Drainage/Integrated Catchment Modeller to join our team based in Belfast due to several new contract wins and our digital transformation journey. Our local Clients include NI Water, Irish Water, DfI Rivers, DfI Roads (drainage), local councils and private developers. Nationally, we are key delivery partners for the UK Water Companies, EA and others within the Water Sector. Our multi-disciplinary teams integrate drainage into a range of building, civils and energy projects. Our National Technical Networks span technical disciplines geographically across the UK and Ireland linking best practice across and projects across all our teams and projects.

They should be able to work at engineer level and to work to technical, programme and budget requirements.

Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering/Geography/GIS or similar equivalent (will consider other disciplines or qualifications depending on experience).
• Infoworks CS/ICM
• Experience of undertaking drainage/wastewater/river modelling projects
• IEng/CEng with appropriate institution or working towards qualification
• Capable of working in/leading project teams and mentoring.
• Understanding of H, S & W Issues in the industry including CDM

Desirable:
• An understanding of UK water industry
• Experience managing budgets and programmes.


Responsibilities
• Scoping, Survey management and procurement
• Use of Infoworks Software to model wastewater/urban drainage systems
• Preparation of feasibility reports
• Interfacing with clients on projects.
• Mentoring of junior staff.
• Contributing towards technical innovation.
• Compliance with Atkins Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Training
Atkins develops individuals through appropriate on the job training and development courses designed to help individuals make the best of their abilities and talents. These are reviewed with individuals through an annual appraisal process. We actively support staff in achieving corporate membership of relevant Institutions.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
