Helping to drive the future of rail
Denmark has exciting plans for tomorrow’s rail infrastructure – guided by strong environmental commitments and development of infrastructure and services to support expectations of passengers now and in future. DSB is the large state-owned operator and is owner of most Danish stations including rail infrastructure and installations for stabling, depots etc. DSB is in these years procuring a new fleet of electrical trains and locomotives leading to significant upgrades in depots and stabling areas. So our four-year agreement within Buildings and Infrastructure with DSB ensures that our teams will help power this exciting transformation.
Taking careers in new directions
AtkinsRéalis is a trusted partner for DSB, with a track record of solving some of their greatest engineering challenges, incl. procurement of locomotives and coaches. This new framework agreement takes things to a new level – covering total consultancy within construction, civil engineering and rail systems.
It means that our diverse, multi-talented teams will be collaborating on a vast portfolio of projects within buildings, areas and railway technology. These will range from small assessment and review tasks to major track conversions, station renovations and constructing the next generation of facilities.
Full speed ahead
With AtkinsRéalis being the No. 1 name on the framework agreement, DSB directly awards us a raft of smaller projects with no tender required. This all-but guarantees an exciting and wide-ranging influx of projects with one of the world’s most ambitious rail providers.
What’s more, for larger projects, AtkinsRéalis will automatically be in mini-tenders in competition with just two other advisers on the framework agreement. So the future couldn’t look brighter for being involved in iconic, world-leading rail projects.
