Heading

As a key part of our cost management community, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of small and large construction projects. You'll assess commercial risks and often work with clients and contractors; navigating on- and off-site requirements to ensure projects run smoothly and deliver demonstrable value for money. You'll be part of some of the biggest and most rewarding construction projects around, and with opportunities at all levels, you'll have the chance to focus on initiatives you're passionate about.

Oversee significant building projects using your in-depth knowledge of construction laws and industry standards. You'll coordinate with clients, contractors and other design team members to ensure all on- and off-site requirements are met and that projects proceed without a hitch. As a manager, you'll play a vital role in some of the largest and most exciting construction endeavours – making things happen in areas that interest you.

As an Associate Director, you'll be responsible for delivering work that's driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. You'll share our reputation for working on some of the UK's most high-profile commissions. Your teams will work across a wide range of projects and sectors, including Local Authority, education, corporate real estate, retail, residential, leisure and healthcare. As well as building long-term, sustainable relationships with our key clients, you'll also be a catalyst for your colleagues' career progression.

Our projects

Northumberland County Council

Northumberland County Council appointed AtkinsRéalis to help combine Queen Elizabeth High School and Hexham Middle School to accommodate 1,918 middle school, high school and sixth-form students. We provided quantity surveying, project management, cost management, employer's agent and principal design services.

Hartopp & Lannoy, London

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is building 134 new homes in a flagship Passivhaus project, replacing two old towers in Hammersmith. It will provide homes for 112 local households, with 84% affordable housing. AtkinsRéalis’ offering includes project management, quantity surveying, principal design/construction design management, and employer’s agent services.

Tipner West, Portsmouth

A 31-hectare development will transform Tipner West and Horsea Island East, reclaiming 27 hectares of nearby coastline. Tipner West will become a model maritime community with high sustainable living and working standards. Roles in this project included quantity surveying, client advisory, business case and cost planning and project planning.

Tottenham Hale, London

Heart of Hale delivers a masterplan across seven new buildings around a central public square, with cafés, shops, offices, health centre and over 1,000 new homes. AtkinsRéalis is responsible for cost management, quantity surveying and employer's agent on three residential projects at Heart of Hale.

Wembley Park, London

AtkinsRéalis’ quantity surveying team helped Quintain plan and construct two housing projects on the Wembley Park property. What used to be a large, unused parking area will become the UK's most extensive single-location rental housing development, with 6,044 homes available by 2027.

South Tees

AtkinsRéalis’ quantity surveying team is developing Teesworks, a rare opportunity to create a top-notch industrial site. The development will prioritize renewable, clean energy and advanced manufacturing, fostering industrial investment and becoming a hub for manufacturing excellence.

Mayfield, Manchester

The Mayfield Development Partnership plans to create a £850m mixed-use community, transforming the area into a high-quality urban neighbourhood. AtkinsRéalis led the masterplan team for this major redevelopment, providing project management, cost consultancy, employer’s agent, and principal design services.

Scape Scotland FrameworkScape Scotland Framework

Scape, an organization focused on efficiency and social value in construction, has appointed AtkinsRéalis as the only supplier for their BEC's Framework from 2020 to 2024. Over 1,000 public entities use Scape's construction, consulting, and engineering services which comply with Scottish Procurement Regulations and EU/OJEU standards.

West Sussex County Council

West Sussex County Council joined forces with what was Faithful+Gould (now operating as AtkinsRéalis) in 2018 for a five-year project to improve the Council's properties, focusing on value and efficiency. The partnership, worth around £512 million, involves quantity surveying, designing, building, and maintaining various assets, including education and community facilities, with 80-100 projects a year.
