Accounting Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join one of our exciting transportation projects in Riyadh, KSA.

The accounting specialist will be required to analyze and process the monthly invoices from various major contractors and issue payment certificates in line with each contract and the services that were provided.  Moreover, on annual basis, the accounting specialist will contribute to preparing and updating the KAPT Project budget.  

Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand the payment mechanisms of the major contracts of the public transport network project.

  • Review, evaluate and process the monthly invoices of these major contractors.

  • Issue the payment certificates for each of these invoices on a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for financial operations and transactions.

  • Ability to work with financial models and the ability to generate reports using financial models.

  • Contribute to preparing and updating the public transport network Project budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Accounting/Finance/Financial modelling.

  • Partly or fully qualified accounting certification CPA/CMA/ACCA/CFA/CIA.

  • Intermediate/Advance Excel skills.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years involving certifying contractors’ payments.

  • Exposure to public transport nextworks is preferred
