Requirements:

• Appropriate academic qualifications (Bachelor’s/ Master Degree in Electrical, Electronics and/or Communications Engineering or equivalent).
• Appropriate professional qualifications (Institute of Engineering and Technology or similar).
• 5-10 years’ experience involved in Traffic Signals, and/or Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for Highways/ Infrastructure projects or related field (experience of working on UK, US, Canada or Middle East projects).
• Design and develop traffic signalized intersections.
• Design and develop Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions, including Variable Message Signs (VMS), CCTV systems, Vehicle detection systems, and Communication networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ITS designs into broader transport and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, and technical evaluations to inform ITS design and implementation.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and drawings for ITS projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ITS technologies and standards to ensure cutting-edge design solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure all ITS designs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Good understanding of British, American, Canada and other International design standards and specifications.
• Proficient in design software particularly AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Navisworks and Trimble Pro for Electrical Calculations.
• Proficient with new communication methods and online platforms of working.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office software particularly MS Excel and Word.
• Proven ability to deliver work within set time frames.
• Experience/evidence and ability to work independently and manage small/medium size projects.

Desirable:

• Work experience of Traffic Signals and/or Intelligent Transport System (ITS).
• Competent in using the design software such as “AutoCAD”, Civil 3D.
• Work experience in a similar off-shoring environment.
• Digital delivery experience
• Ability to collaborate with wider teams and guide the juniors
• A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest ITS technologies and industry trends.
