ANSYS Job Requirement:

  • The role specifically requires performing FEA analysis using ANSYS of civil and nuclear structures. Analyst creates reviews and analyses design to ensure compliance to technical specifications, functionality and constructability.

Requirements:

  • Should be able to do hands-on Finite Element analysis using ANSYS.
  • Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods.
  • Proficient in Non-Linear analysis.
  • Proficient in Structural and Thermal analysis.
  • Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis.
  • Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods.
  • Must be able to work hands-on and guide team members.
  • Must be able to estimate, plan and meet individual work requirements.
  • Should be able to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Must be able to participate in technical review meetings and discussions.
  • Must be able to write, review and approve technical reports and documents.
  • Ensure lessons learnt and best practices are captured adequately into Analysis and design techniques.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Masters in Structural Engineering.
  • Steel/Concrete domain.
  • 12+ Years of experience in structural analysis and design.
  • Evaluation experience of the design calculations & drawings.
  • Develop detailed designs from the schematic designs for large projects and schematic for small to medium projects.
  • Providing detailed sketches for Steel connections & RC Shop drawings.
  • High level technical report writing skill and report review.
  • International code - IS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes and CSA.

Additional Skills:

  • Report writing skills are highly preferred.
  • Specialized in Dynamic & Seismic analysis of structures with soil structures interaction.
  • Used CPython, PyAnsys and Mathcad.
  • Created Ansys Customization Tools (ACT’s) for Ansys to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency and productivity.

You will also be expected to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Preferably Chartered Engineer or progressing towards their Chartership.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Team working, being comfortable working in international teams.
  • Able to identify the key issues/information associate with a task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to Atkins internal quality standards and processes and industry standards within cost schedule and quality constraints.
  • Gather and maintain all criteria to ensure that the work meets all requirements.
