We are seeking a Cost Engineer to join our team in Omaha, NE to lead and work on various airport projects.

How will you contribute to the team?  

• Monitor Project Budgets

• Review and analyze contractor and sub-contractor invoices. Prepares job costing reports to allocate these expenditures against the appropriate WBS numbers

• Enter data into the Program Management Information System

• Perform cost-to-complete analysis for all cost elements  

• Attend project meetings to provide Project Management with current financial information and trend log regarding potential impacts to project budget or forecast

• Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress

• Review task orders for contractors and sub-consultants to ensure necessary budget and/or contract capacity

• Analyze bid award values against current budget and prepare reconciliations

• Prepare data to support documentation required for budget transfers

• Produce cost related reports showing key performance indicators (KPIs)

What will you contribute?  

• 5+ yrs field cost engineering experience with minimum 3 yrs in direct support of an active construction projects.   

• Experience managing and reporting the cost components of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated multi-phased construction effort  

• Experience with Design-Build delivery method is desirable.

• Experience in forensic claims work

• Understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel

• Thorough familiarity with MS office suite software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Outlook, (proficient in Excel)

• Experience with PMWeb (PMIS) is a plus.

• Familiarity with Primavera, (P6) is a plus.
