Role Summary:

We are searching for a Quality and Systems Manager to join our growing team in the Sydney office to support our portfolio of projects at AtkinsRéalis Australia and New Zealand.

As the Quality and Systems Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company Management System (CMS) for the ANZ business unit.  Our CMS is certified to ISO 9001; ISO 45001: and ISO 14001 and is aligned to ISO 27001 and a detailed working knowledge of these standards is essential. 

This role ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures, while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement. We’re looking for you to liaise with international peers within our global business, support audits, and collaborate on process optimization initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementation and maintenance of the Company Management System for Australian and New Zealand offices and projects.
  • Development of the working level documents and forms required to support the CMS.
  • Development and implementation of quality orientation and training programs.
  • Providing quality management leadership and support on Bids and Projects.
  • Role of Project Quality Manager on projects and supporting/mentoring projects in quality requirements.
  • Development and presentation of quality material to partners and clients to support Bids.
  • Preparation of Audit Programs and scheduling, coordinating, managing, and participating in Internal and External Audits (ISO/client).
  • Development and presentation of data at the regular management review meetings with top management, including taking necessary actions to ensure effective operation and continuous improvement of the CMS.
  • Development and implementing a program for Correction and when applicable, Corrective Action in respect to Nonconformities.
  • Monitoring of client satisfaction.
  • Monitoring of implementation of continuous improvement programs.
  • Ensuring that relevant records are maintained and retained in accordance with the QMS.

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

  • Established experience in quality management within engineering design and/or construction of major infrastructure projects, currently working in a leadership position.
  • Trained Quality Auditor (ISO 9001 lead auditor training preferred).
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Standard and familiarity with various industry codes, standards and regulations governing quality management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, Access).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills as well as the ability to work in a demanding multidisciplinary environment are essential for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
