Role Summary

Reporting to the Vice President Total Reward this role will:

  • Lead total reward activities for the Asia Pacific region of AtkinsRéalis.
  • Lead the development and management of a Global Benefits Service Centre for AtkinsRéalis.

The incumbent will be based in India and will manage one regional focused reward colleague and a small team of colleagues supporting the Global Benefits Service Centre. The incumbent will work closely with global reward colleagues, the India based HR shared services centre (the PeopleHub) as well as the HR teams in the region.

We have a Total Reward Global Programmes team who manage global activities e.g. annual merit and bonus reviews, recognition and wellbeing programmes and provide data analytical support for the on-shore regional reward teams.  The incumbent is expected to act as the interface with the Total Reward Global Programmes team to ensure global compensation programmes are successfully delivered within region.

Role Accountabilities

  • Understand regional business talent strategy, execution plans and challenges.
  • Provide subject matter advice, consultancy & education to HR and business leaders to:
    • Maximise the impact of corporate total reward frameworks.
    • Evaluate local requirements and develop local market total reward solutions.
  • Provide market practice and data insights to influence business decisions & strategy.
  • Participate as Total Reward SME on Region HR leadership team.
  • Establish and manage Region Total Rewards governance structures.
  • Build trusted relationships with Region Leadership, HR & Finance & other stakeholders.
  • Manage local Total Rewards plans, programmes & vendors.
  • Direct the delivery of corporate Total Rewards programmes in Region Working with the Vice President Total Reward, establish the Global Benefits Service Centre.
  • Coordinate the delivery of benefit and pension operations working in partnership with regional reward / benefit leads and benefit vendors.
  • Working in partnership with the regional benefit and pension leads, lead process re-engineering / optimisation for the benefits operation factoring in:
    • Process automation.
    • Third party / internal systems integration.
    • Work division between onshore (regional teams), the Global Benefits Service Centre, the HR shared Service Centre (the PeopleHub) and third-party vendors.
  • Establish ongoing continuous improvement for the Global Benefits Service Centre.
  • Management of in-region reward colleagues.

Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrable experience in a Reward lead role across Asia Pacific: particularly India, Australia, Hong Kong, China and Singapore.
  • Demonstrable understanding of and experience in the management of global pension & benefit operations.
  • Experience of process re-engineering and continuous improvement in a service centre environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding and the ability to build a compelling business case.
  • A great communicator with strong networking, presentation and influencing capability.
  • Diagnostic and analytical skills and an ability to use story-telling to present compelling data driven propositions to HR and the business.
  • Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of HR and reward systems (Workday experience preferred).
  • A process-oriented mindset and a desire to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven project management and change management capability.
  • A solid understanding of global and regional reward programmes and reward governance frameworks.
  • Experience of working with, managing and leveraging global and regional reward vendors.
  • Demonstrable resilience with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously in a fast-changing environment.
  • Educated to degree level; CIPD and/or reward qualifications would be advantageous.
