Document Controller (Saudi nationals only)

AtkinsRéalis are looking for a Document Controller (Saudi national) to pe part of the PMC team on a major programme in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and maintain documents in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), SharePoint, Aconex, Etc.

• Manage and control project documentation in accordance with project procedures.

• Ensure identification of documents and compliance with standard templates and format

• Perform quality and compliance checks on all documentation received and before issuing.

• Responsible for the collection, distribution, and storage of controlled documents, including being watchful of documents moving in and through the project to validate correct processing and recording.

• Ensuring all metadata is supplied and properly registered into the system.

• Providing Document Control support to project team members in retrieving documents

• Register the receipt of documents from contractors.

• Transmit documents to internal and external parties for review and information.

• Transmit the comments on documents back to originators.

• Ensure that all issued project documents are correct in accordance with document control procedures.

• Maintain document filing & retention system for hard copy and electronic originals of documentation.

• Keep up to date all incoming and outgoing submittal and correspondence logs.

• Assist with queries on documentation requirements and submissions.

• Hand-over of documentation to the Client Document Controller

• Close out and archive project at end of shelf life

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification

• Min 7 years relevant experience in a similar role in Document control and record management

• Experience working with an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and SharePoint, Aconex etc.

• Possess good knowledge in document control and management processes and standards

• Mature, proactive, take initiative and well organized

• Systematic and able to work under pressure

• Meticulous and able to follow through with tasks promptly

• Able to work independently as well as in a team

• Must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Words and PowerPoint)

• Arabic translation advantageous

Skills & Competencies:

• Essential experience in high buildings and infrastructure projects.

• Site based experience is mandatory.

• Previous experience in PMC and project delivery on significant schemes.

• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English (Arabic preferred).

• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

• Exceptional project management skills highlighting organization, time management, and flexibility.

• Proven competence in overseeing multiple packages of work simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate intricate design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
