The Structural Building Team is currently looking for an Engineering Specialist to support the growth of the office and the team based out of either Toronto or Ottawa.

Location – Toronto or Ottawa, ON.

Your role in the team:

• Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).

• Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.

• Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.

• Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.

• Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).

• Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.

• Entry-level position requiring 0–2 years of total experience.

• Working towards obtaining the certification to become a P.Eng.

• Previous related experience in a structural engineering firm or construction is an asset.

• Entry-level experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
