Role Summary
 

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join our team, based from our Brisbane office. The Finance Manager will support the Financial Reporting and Accounting functions for all ANZ companies, provide support to the Finance Director, and drive financial accounting operational improvements. This role requires a deep understanding of financial accounting within an engineering consultancy context, strong understanding of control processes, and the ability to implement process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial accounting, accounts payable.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

• Preparation and analysis of financial reports for all ANZ entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group Finance standards and IFRS;

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax;

• Safeguarding financial health by managing risks and ensuring sound treasury and cash management;

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure robust financial controls are in place;

• Collaborating with auditors for financial and internal audits and implementing audit recommendations;

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and key stakeholders within ANZ and the wider Group;

• Support the Finance Director and Regional Financial Controller with ad hoc requirements from time to time.
   

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

• Qualifications: Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or other recognized accounting qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in a finance support role within a business, with prior experience in an engineering consultancy highly preferred.

• Financial Reporting: Strong skills in financial reporting and an understanding of IFRS.

• Analytical Skills: Highly analytical with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data from multiple sources.

• Communication: Ability to produce insightful analysis and clearly communicate findings.

• Attention to Detail: High standard of numerical presentation skills and attention to detail.

• Project Financial Management: Understanding of project lifecycles and financial performance metrics, with experience preparing project-related financial reports and reconciliations.
