 Role and Responsibilities: 

As a GIS Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and updating both geographic and engineering drawings to support various stages of construction projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will play a vital role in producing accurate and detailed drawings that inform decision-making processes and facilitate project implementation. Your primary duties will include: 

1. Drafting and Design: 

   - Create detailed GIS maps and CAD drawings based on project specifications, survey data, and other relevant information. 

   - Develop site plans, layouts, profiles, and other technical drawings to support construction activities and project documentation. 

2. Data Integration: 

   - Integrate GIS and CAD data to produce comprehensive drawings that incorporate geographic information with engineering design elements. 

   - Ensure data accuracy and consistency between GIS and CAD systems to support seamless project workflows. 

3. Project Coordination: 

   - Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into GIS and CAD drawings as needed. 

   - Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data and ensure alignment between drawings and project plans. 

4. Quality Assurance: 

   - Review GIS and CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards and project requirements. 

   - Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in drawings to maintain data integrity and support construction activities. 

5. Documentation and Reporting: 

   - Maintain organized documentation of GIS and CAD drawings, revisions, and project updates. 

   - Generate reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate design concepts, project progress, and spatial analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders. 

Requirements: 

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology, GIS, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 

- 12+ years experience in drafting and design using GIS and CAD software, such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar platforms. 

- Strong proficiency in both GIS and CAD principles, techniques, and software tools. 

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and maps. 

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams. 

- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards is desirable. 

- Familiarity with surveying methods and practices is a plus. 

- UAE experinece is mandatory.
