The Global Business Services Centre (GBS) is responsible for providing seamless process accounting services, reconciliation, project budgeting, purchase orders on Oracle ERP platform with a long-term vision of value-added services in the field of statutory financials finalization, audits, tax filing and related areas of governance. Such processes would be AR, AP, Collection and Payments accounting, GL accounting/ reconciliation, FA accounting, FX Revaluation Projects budgeting and forecasting updates, release of PRQ, Purchase Orders etc.  The Shared services shall cater to different HUBs in different time zones – India, Europe, Nordics, Middle East and North Americas as per their requirements. The Shared Services Centre consolidates administrative functions to deliver them in a cost-effective manner, promoting operational efficiencies and service improvements.

What will you do?

Legal Entity Finance Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Budgets & forecasting the financial requirements for the legal entity
  • Revenue Recognition, Cost control and manage the P&L on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Prepare, publish and present financial statements to the management on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Invoicing the internal customers, timely collection & managing cash flow for the legal entity
  • Coordinate with the Internal & External auditors for completion of audits and statutory compliance in line with IND-AS & IFRS requirements
  • Should manage the Tax audit, transfer pricing and other Direct tax matters in line with the statutory requirements.

Global Business services operations Management:

  • Oversees service delivery and the day-to-day operations of the GBS, ensuring that all standards are met, and procedures are followed. Preparing schedules monthly, weekly, daily for a seamless operations ensuring that processes run timely, efficiently, accurately to support Business and Operational needs across HUBs.
  • Establishes priorities and schedules of Activities considering HUB needs.
  • Supervises employees, motivate and handhold them in repeat processes environment. Managing shifts in different time zones.
  • Reviews and monitors GBS-related services to identify trends and problem areas, reporting on risks, key performance indicators and proposed corrective action or new approaches
  • Develops and implements new work methods and procedures for the GBS to improve efficiency and process improvement in consultation with all HUBs on a continuous basis.
  • Establishes quality control mechanisms such as surveys, periodic data quality assurance reviews, error escalation procedures
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Managing the Finances, accounting and audit (internal, external & tax) and statutory compliances
  • Providing an efficient and high-level service delivery in different time zones across the HUBs meeting business expectations in defined timelines.
  • Maintain continuity of operations considering the attrition ratio having a backup plan ready to meet all exigencies.

Experience, Education and other Required:

  • CA (Chartered Accountant) from ICAI qualification is added advantage. CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) from ICMAI / MBA (Finance) from an Institute of repute shall be considered for deserving candidate.
  • IFRS/ IND-AS working knowledge is preferred.
  • Oracle based experience would be an added advantage. 
  • Post qualification experience as a minimum of 12 to 15 years including managing Shared Services in a captive environment with an exposure to handling P&L for the shared services
  • Clear leader personality – ability to engage and positively direct the team and rally behind a common goal.
  • Ability to continuously engage and connect within team, with HUBs extensively to keep pulse on the requirements.
  • Hands-on, “can do” mentality – positive thinking, ability to positively contribute
  • Ability to learn and adapt as per needs.
  • Spoken and written high level proficiency of English language is must. Knowledge of Foreign languages would be an added advantage.
