Job Title: HSE Engineer

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Overview:

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced and qualified HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to join our team for a building construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, extensive experience in the construction industry, and a proven track record of ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines for the construction project.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Provide HSE training to site staff and contractors to promote awareness and best practices in safety.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to resolve HSE issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in HSE meetings, risk assessments, and emergency response drills as required.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and best practices in HSE management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in HSE management, with at least 5 years in Abu Dhabi.
  • Level 6 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or equivalent.
  • OSHAD (Occupational Safety and Health Administration Department) Certification.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Strong personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in building construction projects is essential.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
  • Must be currently residing in the UAE and available for face-to-face client interviews.
  • Note: Only candidates who meet the above qualifications and requirements will be considered for this position.
