Infrastructure Engineer

Role Summary
 

As AtkinsRéalis Australia embarks on expansion into other markets, this role will be an integral part of enabling a Defence business in Australia. Supported by a mature global team running multiple nuclear and non-nuclear infrastructure projects, the successful candidate will benefit from guidance and experience of technical leads from other parts of the global business.
 

The Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for connecting with global technical teams to deliver local engineering solutions across all elements of a project’s lifecycle.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop global relationships with AtkinsRéalis technical teams to leverage our global experience into delivery locally

  • Collaborate with diverse customers and stakeholders to deliver Infrastructure engineering solutions

  • Contribute to the development of complex project proposals and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects and being involved in the delivery

  • Provide Engineering support for defence infrastructure inline with stakeholder requirements and timeframes

  • Produce safety and technical risk assessments and contribute to the wider safety case argument

  • Forecast monitor and report upon engineering performance and to identify and mitigate technical and project risks

  • Provide leadership for our people ensuring successful management and development of engineers and technicians both in Australia and overseas
     

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

  • Tertiary engineering qualification

  • Hold or eligible to obtain Australian Government security clearance

  • Experience in nuclear infrastructure design and safety case development

  • Familiarity with design guidelines, Australian Standards and Local Council Planning Schemes

  • A good understanding of the Australian government defence ecosystem

  • An excellent communicator, verbal (active listener) and written (able to write concisely)
