AtkinsRealis, a leading global design, engineering, and project management consultancy, is looking for a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of surveying duties on construction sites to ensure that projects are completed in compliance with legal requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.

Job Description:

AtkinsRealis is seeking a skilled and experienced Inspector - Architectural (Site Operations) to join our dynamic team in the UAE. This role is based on-site and will focus on ensuring the highest standards of architectural quality and integrity in the execution of our projects, particularly in high-rise buildings (30+ floors). As an integral member of the project team, the ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background with significant expertise in interior design and fitout works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Inspection & Supervision: Conduct detailed site inspections and monitor architectural works to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of interior design and fitout works, ensuring that all aspects meet the project requirements and comply with local regulations.
  • Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve any on-site issues related to architectural design or fitouts.
  • Documentation: Review and maintain all project documentation, including reports, inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other site-related documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure all works conform to the approved drawings, specifications, and applicable local standards. Monitor and enforce building codes and safety regulations.
  • Reviewing Progress: Regularly assess the progress of the project, track milestones, and report any delays or discrepancies to the project manager.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with the design team to address any design issues that arise during the construction or fitout phases, ensuring alignment between the architectural design intent and the final product.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (mandatory).
  • Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience in architectural inspection, with a focus on high-rise buildings (30+ floors) and interior design/fitout works.
  • Specialized Skills: In-depth knowledge of interior fitout works, architectural design, and construction processes. Familiarity with the unique challenges of high-rise construction.
  • Proven High-Rise Experience: Hands-on experience in inspecting and supervising the construction of high-rise buildings, particularly those involving complex interior design and fitout tasks.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and international standards relevant to architecture and construction.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle on-site challenges effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in inspections and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
