Key Responsibilities:

The Interior Designer provides essential support on interior design projects, working closely with the Manager or Senior Manager of Interior Design. This role is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of design quality in the realm of interiors, adhering to predetermined milestones and deadlines. The Associate actively engages in client or stakeholder meetings, meticulously integrating their vision and expectations into the interior design concepts and plans. Their focus encompasses not only the aesthetic appeal but also the functionality and comfort of the designed spaces, considering every element from furniture and lighting to color palettes and materials. The objective is to contribute effectively to crafting interiors that resonate with the client’s vision while embodying the company’s commitment to excellence in design.

The Sr. Associate, Interior Design serves as a crucial contributor throughout the interior design lifecycle, providing support to senior managers while actively engaging in the ideation, development, and realization of interior design projects. Emerging as a vital asset within the design team, they shoulder the following responsibilities:

Ensure seamless integration of interior designs with architectural and landscape elements.

Manage the selection of FF&E color palettes, material presentations, and coordinate withconsultant teams for relevant schedules and specifications.

Assist in preparing design briefs and scopes of work for design consultant procurement, supportingthe consultant procurement process.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to develop interior design briefs, scopes, and advise on designaspects.Coordinate with design consultants for on-time submittals, prepare project proposals, and trackdesign progress against contract payment stages.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams of designers through all stages of design, production, anddelivery.

Ensure designs maintain a high level of quality, assessing alignment with project program andapproved plans

.Lead and monitor design consultant scopes of work for quality and consistency in outputs.

Work proactively with consultants to ensure alignment of construction documentation withapproved concepts.

Prepare and review design documentation across design stages from concept through to “issued forconstruction” (IFC).

Prepare design presentations, concept drawings, and visualizations to communicate design ideas effectively.

Compile and provide reports to senior leadership on the status of design and implementation of the project while in progress and up to completion.

Coordinate with Design and Delivery teams to ensure Modon's brand consistency across the entire customer journey.

Stay abreast of the latest market trends, incorporating innovative ideas and materials into designs.

Participate regularly in professional development and training opportunities.

Efficiently gather and organize stakeholder feedback.

Assist in identifying and mitigating potential design risks.

Maintain accurate project documentation and archives.

Promote a positive and collaborative team environment.

Interact with leadership and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.

Gain proficiency in design tools, software, and technologies used in projects.

Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring regular updates and feedback for satisfaction.

Coordinate scopes, including furniture, finishes, wayfinding, graphics, signage, ensuring alignment with design intents and specifications.

Monitor the quality of on-site and off-site fabrications from an interior design perspective.

Participate in recommending potential designers, artwork, lighting, and signage consultants during project tender stages.

Respond to design change requirements, coordinate with the project delivery team to meet fastmoving delivery schedules.

Perform any other assignments as requested to support the team and project needs.

Select and recommend interior materials, finishes, and color palettes.

Assist in the selection of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

Qualifications & Education:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields;

8-10 years of experience in real estate design & development.

At least 4+ years managing interior design packages for luxury hotel, retail and residential projectsor large-scale mixed-use developments with major design consultancies or developers.

Previous UAE (preferably in Abu Dhabi) experience is essential.

Skills & Competencies:

Proven knowledge of fundamental interior design principles, delivery processes, current designtrends, and building materials.

• Familiarity with high-end interior suppliers in the UAE region.

Essential experience in hospitality and residential projects. Retail project experience is a plus.

Previous experience in design consultancy and operational/project delivery on significant schemes.

Exceptional design aesthetic sensibility, executed on various projects, including interior architecture, wayfinding, signage, lighting design, and FF&E for mixed-use developments.

Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English (Arabic preferred).

Strong presentation, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

Exceptional project management skills highlighting organization, time management, and flexibility.

Proven competence in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate intricate design challenges and propose innovative solutions.

Applied financial acumen and attention to best value for investment within agreed budgets, ensuring cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.

Experience working with diverse and cross-functional teams and design disciplines, fostering effective collaboration and integration of various stakeholders.

Results-driven mindset, consistently achieving project goals and driving success in design delivery.

Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Demonstrated expertise with design software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and visualizations.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Previous GCC experience is crucial, especially familiarity with construction procurement methods and the ability to reduce offshore transportation costs.
