We are seeking a Junior Architect - UAE National to join our Architecture team at AtkinsRéalis and to based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

You will join AtkinsRéalis in the Middle East as an Junior Architect.  You will have one base location. Specific responsibilities will depend on the project(s) you are assigned to, but may include:

  • Concept Design, schematic design, detail design, tender documents, specifications, and site follow up.

  • Coordinating with structural engineers, building services engineers, infrastructure and other sub consultants and specialists.

  • Liaising with Senior Design Architect on a regular basis regarding progress, design, quality, resources, changes, site issues, planning issues etc.

  • To contribute to new initiatives, quality enhancements, technical memos etc.

  • To show commitment to raising Atkins design standards.

  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, other professional bodies and contractors

  • Compliance with Atkins quality, safety and environmental procedures

You will be supported towards a relevant internationally recognized professional institution (i.e. RIBA) and provided with all the support infrastructure required in order to achieve professional status, both financially and through work experience & structured training.

We’re looking for someone who pays attention to detail, with a desire to work to high standards consistently, who has excellent collaborative working skills to ensure we get the best from our working relationships with internal and external client teams. We will provide support and training alongside this and ensure you can undertake Continuing Professional Development in a`e with requirements of your chosen professional institution. 

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering

  • Knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, 3D Studio, Photoshop, and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Drive and self-motivation to achieve chartered status with the relevant institution.

  • Drive to continuously develop your technical & behavioral skills.

  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team.

  • Ability to apply technical knowledge in analyzing problems and creating solutions.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in English (verbal & written) within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to tight deadlines.

  • Ability to influence others.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgements.
