Job Title: Lead QA/QC Engineer

Location: Malanday Valenzuela, Philippines

What will you do?

  • Leads in developing and implementing robust Project Quality Plan in line with project contractual requirements and maintaining it throughout the project life cycle.
  • Works with SCM to ensure that specific QA requirements, contractually agreed in the individual projects, are understood, and adhered to by Suppliers and Sub-suppliers, including performing Supplier Audits.
  • Conducts project and site quality audits and where necessary follow-up and close audit findings and support the project in managing Nonconformities/Incidents including containment and resolution for the project as and when it arises.
  • Develops and executes detailed quality plans for the assigned projects, outlining key quality control activities and milestones.
  • Maintains accurate and comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports related to the project.
  • Provides training on quality processes and standards to project teams, promoting a culture of quality consciousness within the unique project requirements.
  • Registers all incoming and outgoing correspondences, MoMs, Drawings & technical submittals.
  • Responsible for Control/Track/Issue of complete project documentation such as incoming and outgoing correspondence, site instructions, change orders, NCR, RFI, Letters, staff daily report, submittals, and other forms of pertinent documents from the client.
  • Coordinates with the consultants/client’s representative and Site Lead and Project Engineer for inspection and meeting about quality problems including closure of Non-Compliance & other site observation reports.
  • Reviews QA/QC requirements for Sub-contractor’s package completion and issues Completion certificates.
  • Monitors all the testing equipment to ensure that calibration certificates with frequency report are available.
  • Ensures continuous improvements are implemented within the Quality Management System.
  • Performs such assignments and duties as the Project Manager may deem necessary from time to time.

Experience, Education and other Required:

  • With at least 8-10 years business experience as documentation and QA/QC lead engineer role with good knowledge of EPC works, electrical activities, utility infrastructure projects and construction industry of different size, complexity, and contractual types.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field and holder of a valid PRC license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and control within the construction, engineering, or energy industry, with a specific focus on utility infrastructure or rail projects.
  • Previous experience of working on relevant infrastructure projects in the Middle East or Asia pacific regions is a plus
     

Competencies/ Skills Required:

  • Excellent in communication and collaboration, to interact with external and internal parties at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of automated documentation control package.
  • In depth knowledge of local construction legislations and procedures in the Philippines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and tight deadline.
  • Willingness to deliver ad hoc tasks as and when local office required.
