Our buildings design office in Sudbury is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our growing team for a 4-month term starting from January to April 2020.
Location: 2140 Regent St. South Unit 12A, Sudbury, Ontario
Responsibilities
- Perform CAD and REVIT work, from detailed marked up drawings with detailed instructions
- Plot drawings in house
- Send drawings by email and courier
- Set up mechanical or electrical drawings from architectural backgrounds (Ex, setting up required layers and removing unnecessary data on drawings)
- Perform heating and cooling and fresh air calculations
Qualifications
- University student currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program with a co-op/internship term
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with other members of a large team
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD functions
- Basic knowledge of drawing set-up (Ex, layout of components, notes, etc.)
- Knowledge of imperial and metric units
- Ability to check that all mark-ups have been incorporated in the drawings
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
